I think it's only bosses that gain exp, so no.

Would it be worthwhile to have a dire or aggressive evolution over a hearty one?

You can death-level pets, the wiki page Legendary Defender of Ascalon gives several hints on it.

While you can death level a pet, I'm not sure there is much of any way to get it to be dire. If i remember correctly, when I death leveled a stalker before charming it, it's designation simply remained "stalker." And if you death level it with you after charming it would probably become hearty.

The actual answer is no, it's doesn't make a difference at all considering the levels of all the enemies you will possibly face in pre-sear.

You can't death lvl a pet in as they don't receive any DP only in pvp.

Type /namepet to reset its name then it will be dire.

Death levelling involves letting an uncharmed pet kill you repeatedly. This gives it XP, and it levels to a higher level, at which point you either cap it for ur pet, or kill it for XP. THis is how you get the LDOA title.

To answer OP, itll be dire at the end.

Pets receive death penalty in PvP, but not in PvE.

Death levelling involves levelling... not penalty... wow guyz is that hard to read things?

Death levelling involves letting a pet kill you repeatedly to level it to a level 5 levels higher then yours maxing at 20

Hopefully no more people will misread this...
